Handle yearly membership renewals

Use this setup for yearly memberships like clubs, associations, or gyms.

Scenario

You charge R2,500 per year for access to member events and resources.

Setup

1. Create a product

   • Name: Annual Professional Membership
   • Description: Full access to events and member resources
   • Price: R2,500
   • Billing cycle: Yearly

2. Add members as customers

   • Capture their name and email

3. Create the subscription

   • Choose the customer and product
   • Set the start date (at least tomorrow)
   • Optional: add a reference number for your member ID

Renewals

Rekarro bills on the subscription start date each year. Payments and retries are tracked in Payments. For retry timing, see Billing and retries.

Best practices

• Send your own renewal reminders ahead of the renewal date.
• Set Failed Payments to Pause if you want to give members time to update their card.
• If you want all renewals on the same date, use a short custom interval for the first cycle, then switch to yearly billing.
